When Does Chicago P.D., Fire & Med Return? Well, It’s Back In Business

For a while, fans have been questioning when will the Chicago Franchise return. Well, it’s back after a long hiatus.

Primetime fans have been waiting anxiously for the return of their favorite shows, and we now know when One Chicago and other famous NBC series will return. On July 9, the network released its Fall 2024 schedule, which includes new season premiere dates for Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and many other shows.

Premiere week will start in September and end in mid-November. The network plans to launch Season 26 of The Voice on September 23, including returning coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani, as well as newcomers Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé. ChiHards may then look forward to the return of their favorite Dick Clark procedural series on September 25.

When Does Chicago P.D. Return In 2024?

The ever-popular police procedural Chicago P.D. is another successful continuation of the One Chicago franchise, and it has been confirmed that it will return for season 12. Chicago P.D., created for television by famed producers Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, follows officers from the department’s Intelligence Unit as they use their unique skills to solve some of the city’s most complex cases. Like most of Wolf’s other TV procedurals, Chicago P.D. works because it strikes the ideal balance between exciting weekly stories and recurring narratives about the characters’ personal lives.

Chicago P.D. premiered in 2014 as the first spinoff of the popular series Chicago Fire, and its early popularity demonstrated that Dick Wolf’s One Chicago universe was just as viable as his previous universe shows. Season 11 of Chicago P.D., like the rest of its contemporaries, was delayed by the 2023 Hollywood strikes, but missing its initial release date has not harmed its overall popularity. Season 12 should come as no surprise given its sustained success.

What’s The Storyline Is Going To Be In Chicago P.D.?

Nothing has been disclosed about the story for Chicago P.D. season 12, and it’s difficult to predict what will happen next based on how season 11 ended. While it is impossible to predict what kind of recurring storylines will be told in the next season, certain things have stayed similar from season to season. Chicago P.D. is first and foremost a procedural, so fans can expect to watch a slew of thrilling cases in which the Intelligence Unit and other detectives seek down dangerous criminals while keeping the city safe.
