Why did Rachel DiPillo’s Sarah Reese leave Chicago Med?

Dr. Reese in Chicago Med was played by Rachel DiPillo, who left the show in season 4. Dr. Sarah Reese made her debut appearance in Chicago Med season 1, episode 1 “Derailed,” where she was portrayed as a very clinical doctor who occasionally caused problems with her patients. After confronting Robert with the evidence and causing him to suffer a heart attack, Charles did not attempt to resuscitate him, as Reese witnessed when she entered the room.

While this did not help Charles’ case, Reese eventually departed because she no longer trusted the one other doctor who had benefited her the most personally and professionally. Charles not only helped Reese comprehend psychiatry, but he also helped her deal with the fears and paranoia that were holding her back.
