A new reunion shot shows the cast of My Name Is Earl reunited. My Name Is Earl was a comedy that aired four seasons from 2005 to 2009. It starred Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee, Jaime Pressly, Nadine Velasquez, and Eddie Steeples.

The ensemble of My Name is Earl reunites 15 years after the show’s conclusion at MegaCon. Pressly released an image of the actor posing with two of her former co-stars, Lee and Suplee.

Pressly shared four photos of the trio, the first being a candid one in which they appear to be glad to see each other. In the third, she presents a perplexed expression. The star captioned the photo: “Had the best time ever being back with my boys this weekend!”

During its four-season run, viewers adored the sitcom, which followed the titular character as he attempted to make up for all of his previous sins. Nonetheless, My Name Is Earl was canceled before season five. The cancellation meant that the series finished on a cliffhanger. Lee earlier expressed disappointment about the cancellation, stating that he wanted to see the plotline resolved.

Greg Garcia, the creator of My Name Is Earl, sought to partially address this with his next series, Raising Hope. In the premiere episode, a broadcast plays in the background, telling the story of a man who compiled a list of all his wrongdoings and accomplished each one. While the individual is not identified as Earl, this was interpreted as Garcia’s attempt to resolve at least one of My Name Is Earl’s key unanswered questions.

Unsatisfied with this, many people have hoped for a rebirth of My Name Is Earl, if only to redeem the wrongs of its finale. The campaign for a revival has failed throughout the years, as the series has not been revived after a decade and a half. With the My Name Is Earl ensemble enjoying a lovely reunion, perhaps it is time to finally settle the plotline of the cult classic 2000s sitcom.

My Name Is Earl was a four-season comedy series on NBC. The plot revolves around a small-time crook who had both good and terrible luck: first, he wins $100,000 in a lottery ticket, but then he is hit by a car while celebrating, losing the priceless piece of paper. While in the hospital, he learns about karma for the first time and makes a life-changing decision: he will atone for every bad thing he has committed so that he can pay off the karma he has released into the universe.

On a basic level, My Name Is Earl was a sitcom about stupid people making awful decisions and occasionally learning the obvious in the process. On closer examination, however, the series was ultimately about empathy: in order to make amends for every person he’d duped, Earl was compelled to spend time with them and view the world through their eyes. Throughout the series, Earl discovers that being a nice person brightens the world and, at the very least, allows you to sleep better at night.

Before My Name Is Earl, Lee played tiny roles in cult films such as Almost Famous and Vanilla Sky. During and after the program, he starred in the highly successful children’s franchise Alvin and the Chipmunks. In the short-lived TNT series Memphis Beat, he played a police detective who enjoys blues music. He’s recently been doing voice work for Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears and Paramount+’s new animated series The Harper House.
