Love Island USA – Daia McGhee

It is not easy being a Casa Amor girl. You arrive later on Love Island USA and face the difficult task of flirting with men who may already be in serious relationships on the reality dating show. However, there is a slight chance that one of the men will take you back to the villa and stay with you. Daia McGhee had her gaze fixed on Kordell Beckham.

He has been in a relationship with Serena Page since the debut. She did, however, tell him that she wanted to be friends with him before changing her mind. Daia and a few fans were surprised to see Serena miss Kordell while he was abroad. Collider spoke with Daia about Serena’s love for Kordell, coping with assumptions about her, and which relationships she considers genuine.

Daia Was Worried As The Love Island Viewers Didn’t Like Her

Daia entered Casa Amor believing, like several Love Island USA watchers, that Serena was guiding Kordell. She told Collider about how much her opinion of Serena has altered since Casa Amor. “I think like going in it myself, I feel like I was with the opinion of the viewers because I was watching it as you guys are watching it, and I feel like most people’s opinion was they kind of had a friendship couple,” she told me.

“Serena wasn’t sure whether she liked him or not. And then, when I got inside Casa, I realized I hadn’t seen the previous episode,” she explained. “So I think they had a very serious chat. And, you know, a few things had happened that had strengthened their connection. I didn’t see that going into the villa, and, being in Casa, we’re not watching the episodes as we go. So we don’t see Serena crying, angry, and not communicating with the lads.”

Daia McGhee And Kordell

She disclosed when her thoughts on Serena and Kordell shifted. “After movie night, I think I started to understand people really would like Serena and I told her this, this was a conversation that me and her had,” Daia went on to explain. “Because she was concerned if people didn’t like her and all these things,” Daia informed her that the video of Serena crying over Kordell is what people want to see to determine whether she liked Kordell.

Daia stated that Kordell discussed his last night with Serena prior to Casa Amor. “He did say they had a pretty good conversation, a deep conversation, but he never told me in detail what it was, and I never really asked him,” she told me. Daia subsequently admitted she understood why Serena is a slow burner and that they had “different love language styles.” She wasn’t surprised when Kordell claimed that after four days, her relationship with him was “up there” in contrast to his connection with Serena due to this discrepancy.

Daia McGhee Response To Backlash

Kordell brought Daia back in the hopes of further exploring his relationship with her and Serena. Serena didn’t agree with his proposal. She pushed a plate of breakfast he cooked for her onto him after noticing he had also prepared a plate for Daia. “There was no like being friends in that moment and so like I just didn’t want to pay attention,” she told me.” Daia explained that when Serena mentioned Kordell “dry humping” in Casa, she recognized what had happened with the plate. It was so embarrassing that the Casa girls exited the cosmetics room. The original female islanders and the Casa girls who made it to the villa maintained their distance from one another.

Daia Caught Lying…

Before the program, a video of Daia lying on top of Kordell in bed circulated on social media. Fans assumed they were having sex. Serena recorded the incident on her phone and referred to it as “dry humping,” a phrase with which Kordell disagreed. Daia and Kordell were dressed, and she shifted her hips for a few seconds on top of him. Daia described how her attitude to the situation makes her feel.

Daia claimed that the other men thought she was cute, but wouldn’t approach her during Casa Amor due to her relationship with Kordell. The Casa girls stayed away from Kordell for the same reason. Daia claimed they would converse for hours, which was not depicted in the episodes. Their bond away from the villa was more than just physical. However, the connection did not last in the property. Kordell tried hard to regain Serena’s favor and eventually requested Daia to talk to end things. Daia, on the other hand, expressed a desire to speak with him as well. Fans assumed she was attempting to outsmart him in order to avoid being dumped.
