Kaiju No. 8 has finished its inaugural season and it closed on a particularly excellent note. The combination of wonderful visuals and great character writing resulted in a collaborating anime from start to end, and it more than lived up to all of the anticipation it had earned before its broadcasting.

Kaiju No. 8 is one of the biggest anime blockbusters in years, and fortunately, it’s far from over. Following the season 1 finale, Crunchyroll demonstrated that Kaiju No. 8 season 2 was officially in production, and they additionally shared a teaser trailer accompanying the announcement.

What Is The Release Date For Kaiju No. 8 Season 2?

Season 2 was recently officially greenlit and will return to Crunchyroll wherever it is released, but other critical knowledge, such as the series’ release date, is at present unknown. Kaiju No. 8 season 2 is bound to be as good, if not better, than season 1.

As previously noted, there is at the moment little information about Kaiju No. 8 season 2, other than the fact that it was recently officially greenlit. If season 2 was set to run in the fall of 2024, it probably would have been unveiled alongside a new key graphic for the anime, therefore Kaiju No. 8 season 2 should premiere in 2025 at the most recent.

What Are The Producers Cooking Behind The Scenes For Kaiju No. 8 Season 2?

The anime studio, Production I.G, is currently participating in an abundance of projects, which is why things require so long. With projects like Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc, Terminator Zero, BRZRKR, and the next Haikyu!! function, Production I.G is unlikely to get to work on Kaiju No. 8 season 2 right away, therefore don’t expect it to be produced anytime soon. Once Production I.G’s other projects are further along in the production process, there should be more time to work on Kaiju No. 8 season 2, and this hopefully won’t take too long to complete.

Who Will Be Coming Back For The Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Cast?

Kaiju No. 8 would be inconceivable without the Kaiju in question, hence we’re hoping Masaya Fukunishi and English dub Nazeeh Tarsha will return to voice Kafka Hibino.

The following cast members are expected to return for Kaiju-demolition duty in Season 2:

  • Reno IchikawaWataru Kato Ninhon / Adam McArthur (English)
  • Mina AshiroAsami Seto / Katelyn Barr (English)
  • Kikoru ShinomiyaFairouz Ai / Abigail Blythe (English)
  • Soshiro HoshinaKengo Kawanishi / Landon McDonald (English)
  • Iharu FuruhashiYuuki Shin / Ben Georg Stegmair (English)
  • Haruichi Izumo Keisuke Komoto / Howard Wang (English)

What Is Going To Happen in Kaiju No. 8 Season 2?

Kaiju No. 8 is based on the anime of the same name, hence season two’s track is largely predestined. Season one spanned chapters 1–38, concluding with an announcement that Kafka Hibino (aka the Defence Force’s resident Kaiju) would not be destroyed but rather transform into a weapon for their cause.

Kaiju No. 8 season 2 will pick up where the initial season left off, with Kafka no longer getting ready for execution if only to be employed as a weapon. However, as depicted in the season 2 preview, things will become much more hazardous when Kaiju No. 9 initiates an attack on the Defense Force for unknown causes, involving the First Division as well. No. 9’s onslaught is going to be important and altogether, Kaiju No. 8 season 2 will be thrilling and well worth the wait, no matter how long it takes.

Can I Watch The Trailer For Kaiju No. 8 Season 2?

Now that Kaiju No. 8 received the official go-ahead for season two, the next question is when we can expect those sneak peeks. However, it will be a long time before we see a trailer for the second installment. They haven’t even started production yet, so we’ll have to wait for some time. Still, if Kafka can wait years before entering the Defence Force, we can wait months for the season two trailer, right?

Kaiju No. 8 is now accessible through streaming on Crunchyroll.
