Prowler Miles Morales Makes A Return In Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ends on a major cliffhanger, putting Miles Morales and the multiverse’s fate in grave danger. Miles Morales’ first trip into the universe prompted him to band together with Spider-People from many dimensions to prevent Kingpin from shattering the fabric of reality. In this reality, Miles’ father died instead of his uncle, his mother is struggling financially, and his multiversal counterpart has adopted the Prowler identity.
How Did Miles Morales Transform Into The Prowler?
How the Earth-42’s prowler Miles Morales became unknown, but Jefferson Davis‘ death appears to have been the primary reason. After all, Miles’ father has always tried to put Miles on the straight track, whereas Aaron Davis has always veered toward a life of crime. If Rio Morales is hurting financially as a result of her husband’s death, Miles and Aaron might utilize the Prowler identity to help the Morales family.
However, concept art and behind-the-scenes discoveries indicate that Earth-42’s Miles Morales’ transformation into the Prowler may have stemmed from the same desire to aid people as his Spider-Man counterpart, as he and his uncle are often portrayed as “vigilantes”. Unused footage from Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse supports the idea that Prowler Miles took on the role to help those around him by depicting the vigilante duo stealing medicine from a high-security compound to help heal a sick child, reinforcing the idea that their intentions are good, and also that Earth-42 itself may be in worse shape than the Earth-1610 version audiences have grown accustomed to.

The Spot is already on its way to Miles Morales’ parents on Earth-1610, and Gwen Stacy has already organized a team of Spider-People to assist Miles in returning home and protecting them. Miguel O’Hara, with the help of Jessica Drew and Ben Reilly, must keep Miles and Gwen’s squad distracted so that Miles’ father can die, but he must also fight The Spot to safeguard the rest of the multiverse.
